Stats Chat: Data Extraction and Transformation with R In-Person
Curious about working with data in R but not sure where to start? This introductory, interactive workshop is designed for beginners who want a gentle, practical entry into data extraction and transformation using R and RStudio.
We’ll walk through the basics of getting data into R, understanding its structure, and using simple, powerful tools to clean, reshape, and prepare data for analysis. Along the way, you’ll get hands-on practice with real examples, learn how to think “the R way,” and build confidence working in RStudio’s interface—no prior experience required.
Stats Chat is a weekly workshop series that dives into data and statistical learning most Thursday afternoons at 2pm. New to quantitative research or looking to level up your data skills? Join us at the Geospatial Map and Data Centre at the main floor of the TMU Library!
