Measuring What Matters: Understanding Research Impact Online
A DORA-aligned approach to research metrics.
Research metrics and your impact are major factors in promotion, funding, and employment: but what exactly does Research Impact mean? Is it the same for everyone? How many ways can it be measured? What exactly is an h-index, and why are we still focusing on it? In this workshop, we'll work through some practical questions about research impact, where attendees will be invited to consider what impact means to them, and how they might, through adoption of structures from the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), Research Impact will become an asset to your process, rather than an impediment.
