Make a Trinket Pouch on the Knitting Machine In-Person

 

The knitting machine is one of the most intimidating pieces of equipment at the DME, but it’s actually very simple to use! Whether you have experience hand-knitting or you’re completely new to the skill, this workshop will provide you with the fundamental skills to operate this equipment. Attendees will make their very own trinket pouch and gain skills needed to knit large pieces such as scarves and sweaters.

 

Skills included in this workshop:

  • Setting up the machine: casting on, adjusting tension, fixing mistakes
  • Knitting a small pouch with a buttonhole
  • Casting off and finishing your work
