Upcycling Sewing Workshop

Upcycling Sewing Workshop In-Person

This special event is hosted in collaboration with TMU's Sustainable Fashion Initiative (SFI) and TMU Libraries' Digital Media Experience Lab.

Join the Sustainable Fashion Initiative (SFI) and the DME for an Upcycling Sewing Workshop, where creativity meets sustainability! In this hands-on session, you'll learn the basics of sewing while transforming fabric scraps into unique, handmade pillows. We'll use larger fabric pieces for pillowcases and smaller scraps as stuffing, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.

This workshop is perfect for students of all skill levels, whether you're new to sewing or looking to expand your upcycling skills. As a student-run initiative, SFI aims to make sewing and sustainable fashion more accessible across TMU while promoting practical, creative, and eco-friendly ways to reuse materials.

No experience necessary—materials and equipment provided.
