The TMU Libraries' Media Production Studio is a new content recording space open to all TMU students. From podcasting to still photography and video recording to live-streaming, this beginner-friendly studio space integrates excellent equipment with the DME's helpful technology training staff.
Do you want to know how to get professional photography and videography lighting for your projects? This introduction workshop will teach users how to achieve clean professional lighting in a studio environment and other tools to give you a creative edge to your imagery. At the end of the workshop, we will work on the process to get you certified to use the studio for your future projects.
By the end of thi session, you'll be able to:
Learn common studio lighting techniques, or "setups", to help you to effectively capture still/video content.
Learn to change the studio lights’ colours to create a duo-light setup.
Use photographic tools to evaluate your imagery.
Learn to operate studio equipment safely.
Earn the certifcation required to book studio time.
The studio is located in SLC 508, but we will meet at the SLC 308 at the front desk first.
