We look forward to your upcoming DME electronics station booking! Please review these rules before your session:

  • New to Soldering and Electronics Work? An electronics station and/or soldering basics orientation is required. Speak to a staff member before turning on any equipment. We will gladly show you the ropes (and, in doing so, help you achieve better results!)
  • Eye Protection: You must wear safety glasses at the workstation (we provide them).
  • Solder Policy: Use our provided lead or lead-free solder. Do not bring outside solder unless a full-time staff member has provided you with an approval sticker.
  • No Food or Drink: Absolutely no food or beverages are allowed in the room where solder is stored or used.
  • Workspace Prep: Please ensure the workstation is clear of clutter. Use double-sided tape to catch all solder and wire cut-offs.
  • No LiPo Battery Work: Working on LiPo (Lithium Polymer) batteries is not permitted at the DME lab as space is not set up for these hazards.

Need a Tool?

We have a large selection of purpose-specific tools tucked away in our storage room (E.g., specialized gear for working with heavy gauge wires).

Do not take a risk by "making do" with an unsafe / incorrect tool. Please ask us and we will gladly connect you—we enjoy sharing the trips and tricks we’ve learned through our own struggles!
